Often referred to as sweet basil, It is believed that basil has its origins in India, but the herb has been cultivated for over 5,000 years with its reach spreading to all corners of the globe. Works well with pastas, salads, tomatoes, potatoes and eggplant, among others and the main ingredient in Pesto.

ENJOY: Torn or use whole leaves to build your flavor base, sprinkle through salads or garnish pizzas.
STORE: For bunches – trim stems and store in a glass of water. For Living Basil simply remove the pot from the protective plastic sleeve and place in a glass of water. Store both on your kitchen bench.
