Lettuce Red & Green Oak

Red Oak lettuce is a type of leafy lettuce named for its burgundy-red, oak-shaped leaves that add flavor, nutrition and color to a sandwich or tossed green salad. Although “Red Oak” lettuce prefers cool weather, it produces even during the warm summer months. Both Green & Oak leaf lettuce are a type of butter lettuce. Butter lettuces are known for their compact heads, their quilted leaf texture and their mellow flavor. They are also great short season varieties as well as more heat-tolerant than crisp head lettuce.
